Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Lakshmi
Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Lakshmi is a distinguished academician and education administrator with more than 23 years of experience in higher education. She holds Ph.D. in Home Science from Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, M.A. in Home Science from Patna University (Women’s College, Patna), and B.Ed. from Patna University.
She began her academic career in 2003 at M.M. Mahila College, Ara, where she served with dedication for many years. During her tenure, she provided strong academic leadership and served as Head of the Postgraduate Department for nearly two decades, contributing significantly to academic development and departmental growth. Her long academic journey reflects a deep commitment to teaching excellence, research, and academic leadership.
In 2022, she joined J.D. Women's College, Patna, under Patliputra University, as a Professor. With her extensive academic and administrative experience, she was appointed Principal of G.D.M.M. College, Patna in August 2025, where she continues to guide the institution toward academic excellence, research advancement, and holistic student development.
Prof. Vijay Lakshmi has made significant contributions to research and scholarship. She has successfully supervised 12 Ph.D. scholars, authored four academic books, and published more than 30 research papers in reputed national journals. She has also actively participated in and presented research papers at numerous national and international seminars and conferences in India and abroad.
She is an active member of several professional and academic associations across India. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of education, she was honored with the Best Education Award in 2018 by a reputed publication house.
