Dr. Sashi Agarwala Joined GDMM in 2024 as an Assistant Professor. She also worked as a counsellor at NETAJI SUBHAS OPEN UNIVERSITY at BANKIM SARDAR COLLEGE STUDY CENTRE, 24 Parganas (Kolkata south) (Code - G-10). She did PhD from RBU, Kolkata in 2018. She finished M.Phil in 2011 from RBU, Kolkata. She has published several articles and one book. She is also Ordinary member of The Asiatic Society, Kolkata (Institution of National Importance, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) Membership No: A00077, Kolkata-16, Park Street.

- My Primary area of research is Bengali Modern Literature. My doctoral work and subsequent research focus is on two major sub fields: 1. Folk Literature and Women's Writing in Bengali, and Hindi-Bangla Comparative Literature. Other Allied Interests are Translation Studies, Rabindra Studies, Cultural Studies and Open & Distance Learning (ODL) in Literature.
